The scientific study of what makes life worth living. Very often, and particularly over the past year, our conversations about mental health focus on the negative effects of illness, and how to suppress or escape these feelings.

 

With positive psychology we shift the focus towards our strengths, rather than weaknesses, and emphasise bringing positive experiences to the forefront. While this does not negate the reality of our current situation, it can help your mind seek out the positivity in any given situation and enable you to take it all in your stride, reducing feelings of anxiety and worry.

In this webinar, we offer practical tools and habits to help increase positive experiences on a daily basis, to help you understand and harness your positive attributes, and to pay this positivity forwards to those around us.

IMPOSTER SYNDROME

 

Understand the concept of Imposter Syndrome and whether or not you have experienced it yourself. Engage with new tools to help grasp the spectrum of threat and reward, and ascertain both where your priorities as an individual lie as well as what your potential triggers may be and how to identify them.

 

It’s not always a case of yes and no; often these things are on a spectrum and will change according to the topic. You may feel like an expert in one area of your life but not so much in others. The trick is to understand better how the mind works at tricking us into believing things that aren’t always true and then correcting that to improve our mental health.

Mindful eating is a beautiful and tasty way to explore the principles of mindfulness. Led by our mindfulness expert and chocolatier, during this session you’ll learn about the principles (and long history!) of mindful eating and why it’s so important in our busy world.

 

Through mindful eating you’ll experience the joy of slowing down and tasting with all of your senses. Participants will just need to bring a couple of pieces of their favourite chocolate and a glass of water.
